ESPN.com's "Opinions on a match play major"

ESPN.com Asks: "If match play is such a terrific format, why not incorporate it into one of the four majors? Golf World's Ron Sirak and ESPN.com's Bob Harig debate the issue in our version of match play."

Check out ESPN.com's "Alternate Shot" - Debate on Making one of the Majors Match Play

While both guys make good points for and against a Match Play Major, I think the arguments for match play are more persuasive. So what if the networks fear two no-names going head to head on the last day... A lot of us would think that is a great story. I still remember missing a wedding because I got so caught up watching Ben Curtis win the Open a few years back. (My wife hasn't let me forget that one yet :)

Fun Fact: Did you know that prior to 1958 The PGA Championship was match play format?
