Ai Miyazato: Japan's Tiger Woods is a 5 foot 2 teenager...
Here's another story about 19-year old Japanese golf sensation Ai Miyazato as she prepares to make her debut on the LPGA tour.
Women's golf is more popular on television than men's golf in Japan, according to LPGA Commissioner Ty Votaw.
"Ai Miyazato is responsible for that," he said. "She's certainly captured the imagination of Japan with her golf, much like Tiger Woods did in men's golf and Annika Sorenstam on our tour."
You can almost hear the drool coming from Ty Votaw... There's no doubt about how big this could be for the LPGA if Ai's Japanese following takes to the LPGA.
With the rise of teens Michelle Wie and Paula Creamer and now the arrival of what looks to be a true Asian superstar, the LPGA may be poised for a historic run.
