Fear the Turtle: Funk a winner at TPC

Former University of Maryland golf coach ('82-'88) Fred Funk won the biggest tournament of his life today by outlasting a charging field and cataclysmic wind conditions to win The 2005 Players Championship and the $1.4 million that comes with it.
"I can't believe it," Funk said, choking back tears. "I didn't fathom this happening."
He closed with a 1-under 71, then had to wait until Luke Donald missed a 20-foot birdie putt from just off the green before celebrating the seventh -- and by far the biggest -- victory of his career.
Funk, 48, became the oldest winner of The Players Championship with a final round that aged him even more, with conditions that were tougher than most majors because of 35 mph wind.

Editor's note - I went with the "Fear the Turtle" U of Maryland reference because I can only imagine all of the headlines that will incorporate the word "Funk" tonight and tomorrow... just for kicks, do me a favor and cut and paste any you see in the comments section below, I'd love to see just how many variations the media will come up with.
