Man spends 50,000 pounds to master golf in vain!
O.K., so this is what my future holds...
Neil McLellan, a retired merchant banker, wanted to learn golf so badly that he spent 50,000 pounds on 3,000 golf clubs to improve his game, but in vain.
According to The Sun, he bought the best in irons, woods, bags, motorised trolleys and balls, but they failed to make a difference to his game.
So much so that he tossed them into his garden shed in disgust and after his death the stash filled two mammoth sheds in his house in Dunblane, Perthshire.
It had virtually every club and bag produced by the world's top manufacturers and took shocked auctioneers a full day to shift and another two days to catalogue. [World News - London]
UPDATE [6:52pm] - Check it out, the entire lot went for $56,000US during an auction today...
