If you're gonna do something, do it right...

Who do professional athletes respect more than anyone? Legends...

From PGA.com - Peter Jacobsen is one of golf's more approachable stars, whether it's just for a handshake or an autograph. But unlike many athletes, Jacobsen makes sure that his signature is legible. Jake said he learned that from a man who has never turned down an autograph request -- Arnold Palmer -- several years ago when the two played in an exhibition in Los Angeles.

"At one point I signed a hat and handed it to Arnold and he shoved it back in my face, and he said, 'What is that?'" Jacobsen said at this week's U.S. Senior Open. "I said, 'That's my autograph.' He said, 'I can't read it.'

"He said, 'That scribble may be okay on a check because your banker is not going to look at it, but if somebody wants you to sign a piece of memorabilia, you'd better be able to sign it so he can read it.' So from that day on I always try to sign my signature so I can read it."

Another classic bit of wisdom from the King.
