Tiger Woods to reach 1 Billion in earnings by 2010?
Assuming Woods continues on the same earnings trajectory, Golf Digest projects that Woods will reach the $1 billion mark in career earnings by the end of 2010.
Golf Digest has done all the research and laid out every dollar made on the course and off. The article includes the top-50 money making golfers and top earners among each major sport. Good stuff!
It's amazing to think that a "golfer" (i.e. independant contractor) could break such a milestone.

I read the article and I can't believe it either. I especially liked the small blurb about Phil thanking Tiger for the rise in purses in the past decade. (That's nice to see. Despite their friendly rivalry.)
However I was a little disturbed concerning the possible plans that may lay ahead for Michelle Wie. Movies, t.v., along with the standard product line of endorsements. I know money is important to most of us, but it gets to a point where you're just a sell out.

I don't know if Michelle Wie is a sell out just because she's taking all the $$$ that are being thrown at her. Same with Tiger Woods.
And, if it wasn't for Tiger being the "alien" golfer that he is (hmmm, does he come from another planet?), Phil Mickelson most probably would have been the number-one golfer in the world today.
So what's he thanking Tiger for? ;-)

Michelle won't make half as much as Tiger. Perhaps not even 1/10th as much.
