What's wrong with this scenario?
O.K., as you can tell from the links at the top right of this page, I've started to dabble with other "Lounges" beyond golf under the iLounge Media name. It started when I introduced friends and co-workers to Bogey Lounge and got a lot of "boy, would I love to do one of those on the topic of ____ ."
So, with the help of some talented writers and great story tellers, I'm gonna slowly roll out a number of "Lounges" related to various topics that people are passionate about.
Right now most of them are just a work in progress, but one (other than Bogey Lounge) that is in full force and has been running in beta for a few months to rave reviews is "Elephonkey Lounge". Elephonkey is a politcal/world issues blog whose tagline is "Common Sense, Not Common Politics", and is run by two of the most opinionated (and intelligent) people I know, Robert and Greg.
I suggest you take a look around because it's got something for everyone, whether your a politcal junky looking for your daily fix, or a politically apathetic American (like me) looking for some inspiration to get you going.
Oh yeah... the main reason for this post (and the goofy title) is that Robert just returned from a family vacation in Hawaii where he attended the Mercedes Championships. Robert was lucky enough to be able to use some "close" connections to also get an invite to the Srixon press conference introducing Jim Furyk as their newest PGA Tour representative.
So while I sit in cold Baltimore thinking and writing about golf, my politics/world issues editor is in Kapalua hobnobbing with the PGA elite... What am I doing wrong?
Anyway, take a look at "Elephonkey" and read about Robert's PGA experience. Nice work Robert, you are now officially a guest contributor to the Lounge.
