Tiger Woods Returns For U.S. Open

Tiger Woods will play in the 2006 U.S. Open. There was some speculation as to whether he would play because he withdrew from the Memorial, however, he revealed Tuesday that he definitely plans to play.
Imagine the scene if he wins, or is even in contention on Sunday, Father's Day. The emotion will be palpable and I predict the highest golf T.V. rating of the year.
There is talk about whether the time he has spent away will affect his game. The potential certainly exists for Tiger's game to be less than sharp, but if anyone in the game today can spend 9 weeks grieving for his father and then come back and win a tournament on Father's Day it is Tiger Woods.
