Furyk Wearing A Button Down Shirt

I noticed it for the first time at the Exelon invitational, and now I can't help but stare every time I see him, Jim Furyk is wearing a button down shirt. I am sure others have done the same, hell the game used to be played in coat and tie back in the day, but I never imagined I would see Jim Furyk striking out with a new look.
The shirts are made by Chiliwear and they are designed with golf in mind and allow you to swing freely. Jim has been wearing them this year and seems quite happy.
Here's the problem. I was lucky enough to get a free shirt at a corporate golf outing that Jim was connected to. The shirt is nice and comfortable but it is not a fat man's shirt. I am a big guy and I received an XXL that fits perfectly except when I sit down. The material is so light that when I sit and stress is placed on the material between the buttons a window to my stomach opens up for the world to peek in. Too bad really, because I like the shirt. So if you are built like Furyk go ahead and wear the Chiliwear but for the husky/full figured/big boned/fat bastards out there, stay away.

Auke's A-list (from Golfweek Magazine, June 17th) called Furyk out this week for wearing what he considers "a shirt that belongs in Margaritaville". Much like Tommy Bahama, this stuff is great for after round drinks on the veranda, but unfortunately I think the look is awful for the links. Jim might think so as well as he was seen wearing one of his old shirts at a practice round at the Byron Nelson back in May.
While most tour professionals don't make big dollars on their clothing deal (unless your name is Tiger, Retief or Davis), let's hope Jim Furyk made a boat load of cash on this deal. One look at his apparel and we all know he's got a closet full of shirts just perfect to retire in.
