Michelle Wie bows out with heat exhaustion
I can hear the jokes now... "If you can't stand the heat, get off the golf course", or "I didn't see any of the boys get too hot".
Regardless, Michelle Wie bailed out of the John Deere today mid-round and was taken to a local hospital for observation. The most likely cause was heat exhaustion.
"I think she'll be fine," said Dr. Benjamin Shnurman, a physician and tournament medical staff volunteer who treated Wie. "She's in stable condition and will be evaluated in the emergency room."
Hang in there kid, one day you'll be a contender.

She will be a contender, despite the slings and arrows of the critics!
I am actually disgusted by some of the gender-based criticism she has received, which I detail in Why I Hate Men.
